Who We Are
The term Rainya is a Chakma word and stand for 2nd phase of Jum Cultivation. Similarly Tugun is stand for peak or top of the hills. The both terms comprised as Rainya Tugun is combinely used for referring the peak of the Jum field. In due honor to the culture and tradition of local ethnic communities, Rainya Tugun was adopted as a brand name in the field of tourism and hospitality.
Rainya Tugun Eco Resort was initiated in the mid of 2009 by SAS, a local NGO works in Rangamati. Initially, SAS shouldered lion share of cost for purchasing Land and primary development of land and infrastructure of the resort. Subsequently, a Pvt limited company formed and officially incorporated under national laws at similar name in 2020 under the management of SAS and the properties was taken lease by the Company, as an project, under an particular agreement of sharing resources and Ownership, for rapid development and operation. A group of renowned personalities from community development background and civil society were comprised as a member of Board of Directors of the said Company. Now this company is shouldering responsibility of further infrastructural development and business operation of the resort.
Rainya Tugun Eco Resort is the first and pioneer eco friendly resort at large area in Rangamati district, one of the closest destinations to experience the Sub tropical paradise of Bangladesh. It is supposed to be an abode for guest in Tranquil Nature and, caters to a variety of travelers and holiday-goers who want to get away from the crowd and find shelter in the nature. however, preparatory work and the construction of infrastructure and villa is still going on and it is also going to be largest comprehensive tourist destination of CHT in future.
It is located approximately 30 minutes drive from Rangamati town by road, and 3.50 kms away from the Kaptai Hydro Electric Dam; the largest artificial dam in Asia. . It has a total land area of 30+ Acres covered with lush green grass, uncountable plants variety (Flora and Fauna) and colorful tropical flowers and surrounded by beautiful Kaptai lake & Kaptai National Forest.
Most of the structures planned to be built inside are of eco friendly materials like wood, mud, straw and bamboo. Vegetation and gardening so far created is a mesmerizing factor of attraction of the resort. The lake surrounding landscapes of the resort also made the resort attractive other than the resort in Rangamati. Accommodations made of eco- friendly materials gives the guests a sense of comfort and peace living with careful nature. Presence of various Flora and Fauna, Birds and Insects make the resort as a living herbarium, that's a good attraction to the guests.
The resort is enabling to welcome parties and programs. It offers variety of services to the guests. The Resort caters to individual family needs as well as corporate demands for workshop, retreats and meeting. Through hands-on activities and interaction with local villagers, guests will be able to deeply immerse themselves into village life. back

Responsible Tourism :
Rainya Tugun Eco Resort will follow 'socially responsible' policy to protect and promote local villager, and ensure comfortable visit of Tourist. Community will have access to partnering with us and share in its financial success. Interaction between villagers and the guest will be made with full consent and willing cooperation with a view to accelerate development and community empowerment. The resort will also conduct continuous consultation for entrepreneurs in the surrounding community to teach them how they can adapt and build businesses in expanding tourism market in future.
Environmental Sustainability :
From the choice of construction materials, to the environmental practices in the resor's operation, Rainya Tugun Eco Resort will be designed to have minimal reverse impact on environment. The Resort is to be committed to protecting the natural heritage of native areas. Instead of trying to tame the beautiful setting of our resort area, rather, we are adapting with landscape into our design.
Locally available materials like bamboo, wood and others are being used to construct Banglows and structures, and old stuff are also used to bring additional attraction of resort area. In addition, Preying birds and animals living in the host environment is forbidden to any person. We use alternative energy, such as solar power, as much as possible.
Volunteerism :
The central idea of Rainya Tugun Eco Resort was born out from the bottom of love to conserve Community and Environment. A particular proportion of it financial return would be devoted to the fund of SAS, a local NGO who initiated and planned for this resort, to run voluntary activities among the communities. Moreover, guests will be able to spend their time for volunteering in local community helping to build their homes and building skilled and empowered generation.back

Rainya Tugun Eco Resort is now run as joint venture of SAS and Rainya Tugun Resort limited. Policy direction and the input for further development land and insfrastructure is given by Rainya Tugun Resort Limited. Sole management authority of the resort is now under the company.
On company behalf, Managing Director look after all aspects of the business and service delivery to ensure customer requirement at the beginning phase of the resort work. Under his super vision, the resort personnel perform utmost for service delivery to the guests. back

Adventure activities are to be top attraction of the resort that would make us different from other resort in Rangamati. We empasized to create scope of adventure activity for the younger and adventure loving guests so that they could have different experiences during stay with us.
